Senior Year!! It’s the Sunday of Primary & Secondary Education!! It’s a coming of age!! A crowning achievement. A time to celebrate accomplishments, hard work, character and perseverance!! In some ways it’s the last Hoorah, before the real work begins. The real work of moving on to Higher Education and ultimately adulthood!!
Images By G is so proud to get to work with Seniors and their families during this pivotal time in their lives; so much so that I have worked really hard to provide Seniors with a Portrait Experience tailored to reflect their individual personality and style. Special time is invested in getting to know each Senior and what they would like their images to convey about who they are, what they have accomplished and where they are going.
This brings me to Faith!! Faith was the very first Senior I had the privilege of working with. Faith will always have a special place in my heart after spending so much time together; it’s safe to say we will be lifelong friends. She is smart, funny, gracious and, Duh, she is also beautiful!! I am totally spoiled after working with Faith because she was a natural in front of the camera and an excellent communicator!! I could not be more excited for her future next year at the University of Florida; Go Gators!!
After investing a little bit of time getting to know Faith, a few things were obvious!! She loves the outdoors, she is outgoing, fun – loving, and adventurous. She definitely wanted Cap & Gown pics and she wanted them done in a natural environment. Her favorite place is the beach (a girl after my own heart) and her favorite beach hangout is Honeymoon Island State Park, so of course, we just had to start there!
Faith brought her A Game in every area!! We collaborated as she planned her outfits and because we had invested the time to get to know each other, there was no awkwardness when we met for the first time, so getting in front of my camera was a cinch.
Clearly, Faith feels at home and very much alive in this place. I mean, even the birds came out to greet her as she strolled the shoreline.
We decided to start Faith’s 2nd session at the Safety Harbor Pier, since it was so close to Phillippe Park where we planned to shoot her cap & gown session. Faith was on time and ready to play. Her choices for her jewelry and shoes compliment her outfit and work together like finishing touches on her images. I just love the top she chose. More than that, I love her confidence.
If you have spent any time at all with Faith, you will know, she loves Jesus, her family, her church, her dog and ALL her friends. Oh and she might even love the Gators!! It just seemed fitting to have some impromptu shots by this statue nearby.
And of course, we couldn’t do a Senior Session that reflected Faith without including Becky!! You can check out more of Becky’s adventures at https://www.instagram.com/becky.poodle.reyn/
I absolutely love Faith’s white address in the middle of all the light, shadows and rich color that Phillippe Park had to offer. Another favorite place of Faith’s and clearly she just shines in Florida’s outdoors. It is very safe to say that she will shine brightly in Gainesville!!
In all sincerity, it matters little what I think about Faith’s experience with me.
Here’s what Faith had to say in her own words:
“Gwen is an absolute joy to work with! I was apart of her senior ambassador program and she has given my family and I pictures that will last a life time. Communication with Gwen was effortless as she made sure to keep both my mother and I informed throughout the entire process (pre and post shoot). Gwen absolutely shines as both a photographer and all around great person! During shoots, there is no awkward moments while she produces her beautiful pictures. 11/10, she is amazing!!!!”

Moms & Dads, your Senior has worked hard and so have you. Your Senior is about to leave and in many cases, they are not coming home. After all, this is the goal; they are now moving onto adulthood. Much will change over the course of the next several years. Make sure you capture these precious moments of your Son or Daughter. Have images created that reflect the unique individual you have raised and are about to send off on another amazing journey. Make sure you invest in a photographer that will fully invest herself in your Senior.
At Images By G, I believe, Your Senior is Worth It!!
